The septic arthitis score (SAS) project aims at developing an accurate and relevant clinical prediction score to support the clinical decision-making on antibiotic prescription when being presented with a suspected septic arthitis in the knee at the emergency department. We are currently analysing the data from over 500 patients with a knee puncture sent to the microbiology lab and preliminary results look promising.
