PACUTI is an investigator-initiated, randomised, controlled, non-inferiority trial that is planned to recruit 330 participants from 10+ Swedish hospitals in 2023 to 2026.
P: Adult patients with febrile UTI caused by ESBL-producing Enterbacterales
I: Step-down Pivmecillinam + Amoxicillin/Clavulanic Acid
C: Step-down Ciprofloxacin, Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole or Ertapenem
O: Clinical cure at 10 days after antibiotic treatment
